If an Emergency situation occurs & you have no one to call

You call Emergency Services firstly & they are on their way, it's 3 am but you have other children or people to care for, they can't come with you & you have no one else to help you. 

• You are recovering after a Hospital stay, need some groceries or just need someone to check in & see if you are ok
•  You are injured & cant get out of the house for basic essentials
• Stuck & cant pick up the kids

The people in the Community Emergency Helper list have volunteered to be there to help our community in an Emergency.

We all face a time when an Emergency situation comes our way & we really need some help. By Volunteering you are offering yourself to the community to be an Emergency contact & offering your help in a crisis. Go to the contact tab to email me if you would be willing to be a Community Emergency Helper & we will forward you an information & registration sheet. 

All Volunteers to email Aura Advertiser upon being requested to attend an emergency help situation, advising: 

• Name of person they are assisting
• Address they are going to
• Phone number of person they are going to assist

Whilst Sunshine Coast Advertiser can't accept responsibility for the people who volunteer we can ask for & keep information about each volunteer listed above.

We will ask for:

• Name
• Address
• Contact details
• Photo ID confirming the volunteers identity which will be kept on file by Sunshine Coast Advertiser

ID information is kept by Sunshine Coast Advertiser for precautionary reasons & will be kept in a confidential database & will only be provided to authorities if required
